Overview

The Hopkins Center for the Arts opened in November 1997, and is a focal point for arts, culture and entertainment in Hopkins and surrounding communities. It is located in downtown Hopkins, within walking distance of several restaurants, antique and other shops, and a movie theater complex. Parking is free.View the Parking Page.

The Hopkins Center for the Arts builds community through the arts by fostering creative expression, and providing artistic and educational opportunities for people of all ages. A full calendar of theater, concerts, exhibitions, classes and other events support this mission.

Background

The Hopkins Center for the Arts was built with funds from the City of Hopkins and the State of Minnesota, as well as contributions from corporations, foundations, local civic organizations, local businesses and individuals. The Center is owned and operated by the City of Hopkins. Tenants include Stages Theatre Company and Hopkins School District 270.
