Tiny Boatmaking Event is August 18

Join artist Brenda Bell Brown on Saturday, August 18, from 2 to 4 p.m., at Valley Park for a Tiny Boatmaking program. Using material gathered at the creek shoreline, attendees will build tiny boats, learn water stories and make artful memories. Shady Oak Beach Set to Close August 19

There are just a few days left to enjoy the sun at Shady Oak Beach. The beach is set to close at the end of the day on Sunday, August 19. Shady Oak Beach is located at 5200 Shady Oak Road and is open 10 a.m. through 8 p.m. More information about the beach is available here.


Hopkins Activity Center Ice Cream Social is August 23

Join the Hopkins Activity Center for a free ice cream social featuring the Aquatennial Senior Singers next Thursday, August 23, at 6:30 p.m.. Donations of a non-perishable food item for the ICA food shelf or a back-to-school supply for ResourceWest are encouraged. Learn more about the Hopkins Activity Center here.
