Charlie Musselwhite Concert is October 22

Halloween in Hopkins is October 29

Break out your costumes a couple days early and head downtown for Halloween in Hopkins on Saturday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring trick-or-treating along Mainstreet, a Haunted Jail Tour at the Hopkins Police Department, food trucks on the Artery and more. Buckthorn Removal Volunteer Event is November 5

Join the City of Hopkins for a volunteer event to remove buckthorn and learn how to manage it on Saturday, November 5, from 10 a.m. to noon, at Shady Oak Pond (located at the intersection of 21st Avenue and 2nd Street N). Buckthorn is an invasive shrub that outcompetes native plants and takes over forest floors, preventing other plant regeneration. This invasive species has become an increasingly large problem in the Midwest and management is key for the health of our city’s environment. Learn more about buckthorn and sign-up to volunteer.

Brush/Yard Waste Drop-Off Site Hours Change

The free brush and yard waste drop-off site is now open Mondays and Wednesdays from 1 to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. The drop-off site will close for the season after November 21.
