Shady Oak Beach Lifeguards on Duty Through August 21

Lifeguards will be on duty at Shady Oak Beach through Sunday, August 21. Following August 21, the beach will close briefly for maintenance. Gates will be open again with the beach unguarded August 26 through Labor Day. Shady Oak Beach is located at 5200 Shady Oak Road. More information about the beach is available on the City of Minnetonka website. 


Community Image Award Nomination Deadline
is August 26

There is just one week left to nominate someone who has made significant improvements to their property in the past year. The City of Hopkins' Community Image Awards honor property owners and business owners whose pride shines through their property. Property improvements include landscaping, accessibility improvements, lighting, signs or exterior improvements. Learn more about the program and submit a nomination.


City Seeking Applicants for an Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable Technician

The City of Hopkins is hiring an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Technician at City Hall. Responsibilities include verifying transactions; processing accounts payable, account receivable transactions and payroll; monitoring expenses and payments;  reconciling accounts; assists in clarifying non-complex discrepancies; preparing, reviewing, and submitting routine statements and reports; maintaining department accounting records and database; and responding to a variety of inquiries about financial information. The position is full-time, with an hourly salary range for $25.79-$34.80. Learn more and apply online.

Fall Session Now Open

Registration is now open for fall senior adult programs at the Hopkins Activity Center. Explore all that's new for fall, including sports, enrichment opportunities, classes and events to keep yourself busy. Find activities like Zumba for Women and Crystal Sound Bowl Meditation in the Activity Center's fall catalog by selecting the the raspberry "Online Registration" button on the Activity Center website.
