Absentee Voting Begins Today

You do not have to wait until Election Day to vote. You can vote early by absentee
ballot September 17 through November 1. Eligible voters may vote in-person at City Hall or by mail. To vote early by mail, request an absentee ballot by visiting mnvotes.org or by contacting City Hall. City Hall is open for absentee voting Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with extended hours on Saturday, October 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, November 1, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. More information about absentee voting is available on our website here.

League of Women Voters Candidate Forum
is September 20

The League of Women Voters of Minnetonka-Eden Prairie-Hopkins is hosting a candidate forum on Monday, September 20, for the School Board, Mayoral and City Council positions up for election on November 2. Due to concerns about COVID, the forum is not open to the public, but instead will be recorded and broadcast on Cable Channel 16. A recording will also be available on the City website and on the League of Women Voters website. Find more information about the forum here.

Free Brush Pick-Up Begins September 20

The City will be picking up brush free of charge for residential garbage customers the same day as your garbage day the week of September 20. No call-in is required for the free pick-up. Learn more about brush pick-up requirements here.

Fall Bulk Item Drop-Off Event is September 24-25

The fall City of Hopkins bulk item drop-off event for City of Hopkins is Friday, September 24, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, September 25, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. You must be a City of Hopkins residential garbage customer to participate in the event. For $20, plus taxes, you can drop off one appliance and up to three cubic yards worth of trash (the equivalent of one pick-up truck load). Additional appliances are $20, plus taxes, each.
