Beginning May 10, 2021, Republic Services will be providing recycling service for Hopkins’ customers. Your pick-up day will not change and collection will continue to be every other week. The cost is still $5 per month, regardless of what size or how many carts you have. You should see their blue carts delivered at the end of April. A welcome letter, calendar, and information on accepted materials will be attached to each cart.
Continue to use your green Waste Management cart until after your pick-up the week of April 26. The City is working with Republic Services to deliver the same quantity and size of carts as each property previously had, however mistakes will undoubtedly happen. Please continue to contact Public Works with all recycling requests, concerns, and questions at (952) 939-1382 or visit the website here.

A new era begins in the Public Works refuse division! The City has been working on changing its Public Works fleet colors to white and yellow for the past 5 years, and is excited to present the new refuse truck to residents. You will no longer see the maroon truck on garbage day, but watch for the new truck coming to your neighborhood soon. A picture of the new truck is available to view here.
