Free Holiday Tree Pick-Up is Week of January 11

Holiday trees will be picked up curbside, free of charge for Hopkins residential garbage customers the week of January 11. You do not need to call to schedule this service —simply place your tree on the boulevard (no alley pick-ups) by 6 a.m. the day of your garbage service. Wreaths or decorations containing metal pieces will not be accepted, and bags and stands must be removed. More information on tree pick-up is available here.


Application Deadline For Hennepin County
Relief Grants is January 14

Eligible small businesses and nonprofits located in Hennepin County that have been financially harmed by the COVID-19 pandemic can now apply for relief grants up to $15,000. The application period is open now through Thursday, January 14, at noon. Learn more about the grants on the Hennepin County website here.


Nordic Walking with the Activity Center 
Begins January 15

Looking for a way to get some exercise this winter? Embrace the chill and go Nordic Walking with the Hopkins Activity Center on Fridays at 2 p.m. beginning January 15. Learn more and register online here.


Dog Licenses Required in Hopkins

Are you a new Hopkins resident and a dog owner? The City of Hopkins requires that your dog have a license as soon as it is six months old. A dog with a valid license from another jurisdiction must obtain a Hopkins' license within three months. Learn more about licensing requirements and download an application here .
