The City of Hopkins has declared a snow emergency effective beginning at 9 p.m. on Wednesday, December 21 and Thursday, December 22.
Residents must remove vehicles from the restricted locations (City streets and parking lots, right-of-ways and the Municipal Parking Ramp) to avoid being towed, until the streets are plowed curb to curb, likely sometime on Friday, December 23.
Snow emergency parking locations are available in both Central Hopkins and South Hopkins:
- Maetzold Field parking lot with access from 1st Street N
- Municipal Lot 300 just north of the Downtown Park on 9th Avenue S
- Municipal Lot 750 just south of First Street N on 9th Avenue N
- East of 9th Avenue S and north of Westbrooke Way between 9th Avenue S and Nine Mile Creek
- Far east end of 8th Street S near Valley Park
