- Child and Teen Checkups: 612-348-5131 Assists youth in finding and scheduling medical and dental appointments, as well as arranging transportation and interpreters.
- Crisis Nursery: 763-591-0400 Offers free services for families facing barriers by connecting them to resources in helplines (763-591-0100) and counseling. Offers programs such as overnight residential care for children while parents address a crisis, home visiting and mental health care, and parental education.
- Diaper Bank: 952-988-4070 Run by Hopkins’ Community Education Department, the Diaper Bank is offered once-per-month to families. The number and supply of diapers may be limited. Check for availability by searching “Diaper Bank” on the website linked here.
- Parent Aware: 888-291-9811 Compiled a list of financial aid programs families looking for childcare support may be eligible for. Parent Aware also provides information in finding affordable care programs. Multilingual support (English, Spanish, Somali, and Hmong) is available.
- Parents In Community Action: 612-374-0701 (English), 612-374-0709 (Hmong), 612-374-0703 (Oromo), 612-374-0707 (Somali), and 612-374-0705 (Spanish) Provides early childhood education, school readiness, health, and mental wellness services to children. Provides dental, nutrition, and transportation services to children enrolled in PICA programs.
- ResourceWest: Childcare & Academic Assistance Program 952-322-0882 (Spanish/English speaking) and 952-322-0357 (Somali/English speaking) Offers financial assistance of 50% tuition for partnering childcare and academic enrichment programs.
- Think Small: 888-291-9811 Helps families find childcare and early education programs for young children by providing customized childcare/education option lists, directions to financial support, and parent education resources.
- VEAP: 952-888-9616 Offers a birthday bag for children in their birthday month. Support is available in multiple languages.
- WIC: 800-221-5689 Extra support for women, infants, and children up to age five through free healthy foods, breastfeeding support, nutrition education, and referrals to other services.
