PLACES is a collaborative initiative that aims to establish the Southwest Light Rail Corridor as a renowned public art destination. The initiative will consist of exciting art installations and placemaking projects that represent the vibrant cultures and communities the Southwest LRT line will connect.
Through engagement and public art along the future Southwest Light Rail Transit line, PLACES aims to:
- Strengthen community connections
- Celebrate people, cultures and communities
- Spur investment and growth
- Transform public spaces
- Advance equity.
Partners are working together to integrate public art near Southwest Light Rail Transit stations in Minneapolis, St. Louis Park, Hopkins, Minnetonka and Eden Prairie.
