Halloween in Hopkins is October 26

Break out your costumes early and head downtown for Halloween in Hopkins on Saturday, October 26. Trick-or-treat along Mainstreet at local businesses between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and then head over to the Hopkins Police Department for a Haunted Jail Tour, open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other events include Activities in the Park, pumpkin displays, and the Halloween in Hopkins costume contest. National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is October 26

The Drug Enforcement Agency's National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is Saturday, October 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Help prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths, and do something great for the environment by taking unused medications to a designated collection site to be disposed of properly. Free Leaf and Yard Waste Pick-Up Begins October 28

Free fall leaf and yard waste bag pick-up will be on your regular garbage day October 28 through November 21. If you live in the Bellgrove, Hobby Acres, Park Ridge and Interlachen Park, leaf and yard waste will be picked-up using front-end loaders and dump trucks November 4 through 7. Find the schedule for your neighborhood's pick-up day on the City website. You do not need to schedule this pick-up. Information about pick-up guidelines is available here.
