Halloween in Hopkins is October 26

Break out your costumes early and head downtown for Halloween in Hopkins on Saturday, October 26. Trick-or-treat along Mainstreet at local businesses between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. and then head over to the Hopkins Police Department for a Haunted Jail Tour, open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Other events include Activities in the Park, pumpkin displays, and the Halloween in Hopkins costume contest. Learn more here.


Free Leaf and Yard Waste Pick-Up Begins October 28

Free fall leaf and yard waste bag pick-up will be on your regular garbage day October 28 through November 21. If you live in the Bellgrove, Hobby Acres, Park Ridge and Interlachen Park, leaf and yard waste will be picked-up using front-end loaders and dump trucks November 4 through 7. Find the schedule for your neighborhood's pick-up day on the City website. You do not need to schedule this pick-up. Information about pick-up guidelines is available here.


Play Place is Open at the Hopkins Pavilion

Looking for something to do with your child as the weather gets colder? Head over to Play Place at the Hopkins Pavilion. Play Place is an open-play program for children five and under, open Monday through Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids can run with play equipment provided by the Pavilion, including crawl tunnels, bounce houses, blocks and more. Adults must stay and supervise. Find more information about activities at the Hopkins Pavilion here.
