May Day Music on Main is May 4

Don’t miss the third annual May Day Music on Main this Saturday, May 4, on Mainstreet outside the Hopkins Center for the Arts. Beginning at 4 p.m., enjoy a free street festival with live music, food trucks, sidewalk activities, games and more. Valley Park Clean-Up is May 4

Help keep Hopkins clean by joining the Nine Mile Creek Watershed District's Valley Park Clean Up on Saturday, May 4, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Volunteers are encouraged to wear appropriate clothing and footwear. Gloves, bags, trash grabbers, and snacks will be provided. Learn more about the clean up and register to volunteer here.


Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off is May 10-11

Drop-off your household hazardous waste and materials at the Hennepin County collection event in Minnetonka on May 10–11. Bring items to the Minnetonka Public
Works parking lot (11522 Minnetonka Blvd.) between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. during the collection period. For more information, additional drop-off dates and a list of items that are accepted is available here.


Kick-Off to Summer Safety is May 18

The annual Kick-Off to Summer Safety event sponsored by the Hopkins Police and Fire Departments in partnership with Hopkins/Minnetonka Park & Recreation and Minnesota Safe Kids Coalition will be held Saturday, May 18, from 10 a .m. to 1 p.m., at the Hopkins Fire Station, 101 17th Avenue S. This free, family-friendly event will feature water, bike, fire and internet safety tips, ice cream and prize giveaways, including bikes, locks, helmets, life jackets, car seats and more. Residents can also make an appointment to have child seats installed and inspected.
