One-Bedroom Public Housing Waiting List Opens
January 22 

The Hopkins Housing and Redevelopment Authority (HRA) will be accepting applications online for its Public Housing waiting list beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, until 4 p.m. on Thursday, January 24. Applications must be submitted online between 8 a.m. on January 22, and 4 p.m. on January 24. Applications will not be available in the HRA office or by phone, and fax requests will not be accepted. State of the City/Taste of Hopkins is January 31

The 2019 State of the City/Taste of Hopkins will be held on Thursday, January 31,
at the Hopkins Center for the Arts (1111 Mainstreet, Downtown Hopkins). Taste of
Hopkins will run from 5 to 6 p.m. The State of the City will start at 6 p.m. and will be held in the theater.

The State of the City event offers citizens and business owners the opportunity to learn more about the workings of the City in a relaxed setting. Taste of Hopkins will feature a variety of appetizers, entrees, desserts and beverages, compliments of Hopkins restaurants, various organizations and Hopkins Farmers Market vendors.

Attendees are asked to bring a monetary donation or non-perishable food item for the

Apply Now for Summer Seasonal Employment

It is already time for high school and college students – or anyone looking for a part-time
job – to start thinking about summer employment. Positions include swim instructors
and lifeguards; Shady Oak Beach staff; Grays Bay Marina attendants; Kid’s Corner leader,
coordinator and assistant coordinator; Park Adventures (playgrounds) coordinator (hiring
two; must be 18 or older); Park Adventures (playgrounds) leaders; and Inclusion specialists. These are great opportunities for anyone interested in gaining valuable experience and training. Find more information and apply online here.
