Nominations for Community Image Awards Due Today

Nominations for the 2018 Community Image Awards are due by the end of the day today. The awards honor property owners and business owners whose pride shines through their property. Property improvements include landscaping, accessibility improvements, lighting, signs or exterior improvements. Draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan Ready for Review 

The Draft 2040 Comprehensive Plan Update – Cultivate Hopkins is now complete and ready for review. The public can review the draft plan online or at City Hall and provide comment for the next six months. The Planning and Zoning Commission will review the draft plan at their meeting on Tuesday, August 28, at 6:30 p.m., at City Hall. An open house will proceed the meeting from 5 to 6:30 p.m. for the public to review the plan more closely and ask questions. Comments and feedback can be made on the website or directly to City Planner Jason LindahlView the plan online here


Pickleball Courts at Central Park Now Open for Use

The newly constructed Pickleball courts are now open for use at Hopkins' Central Park, 101 16th Avenue S. A grand opening event and ribbon cutting at the courts will be held Wednesday, September 19, at 5 p.m. More information about Central Park is available here.


Save the Date: Artery Grand Opening 2.0 is September 22

The weather didn’t cooperate in June for the grand opening of the Artery — the unique bike, pedestrian, and vehicle connection and community space on 8th Avenue — so we’re going to give it another try! Come celebrate the Artery Grand Opening 2.0 on Saturday, September 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., on 8th Avenue S between Excelsior Boulevard and Mainstreet. Learn more about the event here.
