Primary Election is August 14

Polling places will be open Tuesday, August 14, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for the primary election. In the primary, voters will narrow the field of candidates for federal, state and judicial offices with the top voted moving on to the November 6 general election. Romantica Concert is August 16

Romantica, a band mixing together elements of folk, rock and Americana, will take the stage on Thursday, August 16, for the final concert in Hopkins Center for the Arts' summer Sunset Series. The free concert will be held at 7 p.m. in Downtown Park. In the event of rain, the concert will be moved to The Depot Coffee House. More information about the Sunset Series is available here.

Community Image Award Nomination Deadline
is August 24

Do you know someone who has made significant improvements to their property in the past year? The City of Hopkins is seeking nominations for the 2018 Community Image Awards, which honor property owners and business owners whose pride shines through their property. Property improvements include landscaping, accessibility improvements, lighting, signs or exterior improvements. Learn more about the awards and submit a nomination here.
