Household Hazardous Waste Drop-Off is June 15-16

Drop off your household hazardous waste and problem materials at the Hennepin County collection event today, June 15, and Saturday, June 16, from 9 a.m to 4 p.m., at St. Louis Park Middle School (2025 Texas Avenue S. — Enter off 22nd Street W). Excelsior Boulevard at Blake Road to Close June 15-18

The intersection of Excelsior Boulevard and Blake road will be closed Friday, June 15, beginning at 8 p.m., through Wednesday, June 20, at 5 a.m., while City contractors work to install sewer and water utilities in the area. Commuters are advised to use the posted detour as measures will be put into place to prevent cut-through traffic on local roads. Learn more about the Blake Road Improvement Project here.


Art from the Attic is June 16

Stop by Mainstreet outside the Hopkins Center for the Arts tomorrow, June 16, between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. for Art from the Attic. This popular sidewalk sale features hundreds of pre-owned art pieces available at affordable prices. 100 percent of the proceeds will go to support art programs and activities for all ages at the Center. The Sunset Series Music Event Begins June 21

Join the Hopkins Center for the Arts and Mill City Sounds for The Sunset Series, a free weekly music event on Thursdays this summer in Downtown Park. The first concert of the season, featuring Frogleg, will be held Thursday, June 21, beginning at 7 p.m. Downtown park is located just one block south of Mainstreet between 9th and 10th Street. Session on Hip and Knee Pain is June 26
at Hopkins Activity Center

The Abbott Northwestern Hospital Joint Replacement Center Education Series presents Managing Hip and Knee Arthritis Pain at the Hopkins Activity Center on Tuesday, June 26, at 2 p.m. This free session is an opportunity to learn about the treatment options for hip and knee pain.
