Join the City and the Hopkins community for the Artery Grand Opening on Saturday, June 2, from noon to 4 p.m., along 8th Avenue S from Excelsior Boulevard to Mainstreet. The event will feature live music, public art projects, lawn games, artist talks with artists who created pieces for the Artery, bikes from the Three Rivers Park District to test the new bike lanes, a bike repair station and more. A ribbon cutting with birthday cake will take place at noon to help celebrate Hopkins’ 125th birthday.
Attendees are encouraged to utilize public transportation, carpool, bike or walk to the grand opening, as parking will be limited. A bike corral will be available on-site for those who wish to secure their bikes. In the event of rain, the grand opening will be cancelled. More information is available here.
