Hopkins Fire Department Open House is October 8

The Hopkins Fire Department will host its annual Open House at the Hopkins Fire Station, 101 17th Avenue S, on Saturday, October 8, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Stop by and enjoy fire truck and bucket rides, free hot dogs and popcorn, and lots of hands-on fun. 


HREI Town Hall on Voting is October 19

The Hopkins Race and Equity Initiative is hosting a town hall event on voting on Wednesday, October 19, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the Eishenhower Community Center Auditorium. The panel discussion will feature Cheryl Youakim, DFL State Representative for Hopkins and St. Louis Park, Emma Greenman, DFL State Representative for Minneapolis and Richfield, and David Maeda, Director of Elections Office of Minnesota Secretary of State, and will be moderated by Hopkins High School History and Social Studies Teacher Rick Rexroth. Free Leaf and Yard Waste Pick-Up Begins October 24

Free fall leaf and yard waste bag pick-up will be on your regular garbage day October 24 through November 17. If you live in the Bellgrove, Hobby Acres, Park Ridge and Interlachen Park, leaf and yard waste will be picked-up using front-end loaders and dump trucks November 7 through 10. You do not need to schedule this pick-up. Find more information about leaf and yard waste pick-up.
