Budget Engagement Session is August 15

The City of Hopkins is hosting a community engagement session for the 2023 budget on Monday, August 15, from 6 to 7 p.m., at City Hall. There will be opportunities for the public to provide input. Learn more about the City's budget process.

Lane Reductions on Excelsior Boulevard West of
Blake Road to Begin August 15 

Contractors for Trilogy Real Estate Group's Blake Road Station project will begin construction to connect to public utilities along Excelsior Boulevard west of Blake Road on Monday, August 15. Two way traffic along Excelsior Boulevard will be maintained, but both directions of traffic will be shifted to the eastbound lanes. The signal on Excelsior and Blake will be in flash mode during construction. Construction is anticipated to last two weeks. The closure of eastbound traffic on Excelsior Boulevard at the light rail bridge will remain in effect.

City to Host Students from Ukraine August 16

The City of Hopkins will be hosting students from Hopkins' sister city Boryspil, Ukraine on Tuesday August 16. The students will tour City facilities to learn about local government and public service, and will end the day attending the City Council meeting. The students are in Minnesota as part of Global Synergy Group's Youth Leadership Engagement and Development (YouLEAD) program.

Final Sunset Series Concert is August 18

The final Sunset Series concert of the summer, featuring rock n' roll band Capital Sons, will be held Thursday, August 18, at 7 p.m., in Downtown Park. Sunset Series concerts are hosted by the Hopkins Center for the Arts and Mill City Sound, and are free and open to the public.
