Burnes Park Splash Pad Now Open

The splash pad at Burnes Park is now open just in time for Memorial Day weekend! Splash pad hours are Monday through Saturday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 9 p.m. Find more information, including rules for using the splash pad, on the City website.


Shady Oak Beach Opens for the Season June 10

Summer is nearly here, which means it is time to hit the beach! Shady Oak beach will be opening for the season Friday, June 10. The beach is open June 10 through July 31, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., (10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 4), and August 1 through 21, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., weather dependent.

Renew or purchase your 2022 Shady Oak Beach season pass to enjoy unlimited entry to the beach at great rates. You may purchase or renew online, or at the beach during business hours. Existing cards will be reactivated. Find more information about Shady Oak Beach.


The Sunset Series Returns June 16

The Hopkins Center for the Arts, along with Mill City Sound, are excited to present the
2022 Sunset Series, which is set to begin Thursday, June 16, with Texas Toast. Enjoy the
free music series on Thursday evenings beginning at 7 p.m. in Downtown Park, 40 9th
Avenue S. Bring a chair and your friends, and enjoy music ranging from local favorites to
