Garden plot Kick-Off Event is May 14

Start gardening season off on the right foot! Come meet your neighbors for a Community Garden Kick-off event at the Valley Park Garden Plots in Hopkins on Saturday, May 14, from 9 to 11 a.m. (weather permitting). Community partners attending the event include Hennepin County Master Gardeners, the Hopkins Fire and Police Departments, the Hopkins School District/Hopkins Community Education, and the ICA Food Shelf. The event is open to everyone, no registration required.



Williston Fitness Center Registration Opens to
Hopkins Residents May 16

The Williston Fitness Center is expanding membership to Hopkins residents beginning May 16. Membership includes access to the Minnetonka facility’s five indoor tennis courts, swimming pool, splash pad, whirlpool and sauna, baseball and softball cages, basketball court, fitness center, group fitness classes and indoor playground. Hopkins residents will pay the non-resident rate. Stop by the facility to get a tour and sign-up for a monthly or annual membership. Find more information about Williston on the City of Minnetonka website.

Emergency Mortgage Assistance Available

Minnesota Housing is launching the HomeHelpMN program to provide assistance to homeowners who have been impacted by the pandemic and have fallen behind on mortgage payments and other eligible housing expenses. The application period opens on May 17 and applications will be accepted until June 17 at 5 p.m. Homeowners are encouraged to submit their application early in the application period as a high demand for the funds is expected. Learn more on the HomeHelpMN website.
