Summer Recreation Registration Begins March 8

Summer recreation program registration begins on Tuesday, March 8, for general recreation, Thursday, March 10, for senior programs and Tuesday, March 22, for ice skating. Visit minnetonkamn.gov/register to browse program options and choose from an array of activities including summer camps, swimming lessons, skating lessons, fitness classes, arts and crafts, athletic leagues and senior programs. Register online at minnetonkamn.gov/register or call between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday at, 952-939-8203 (general programs), 952-939-8393 (senior programs) or 952-939-8310 (ice skating).

City of Hopkins Tree Sale Now Open

In partnership with Tree Trust, Hopkins Public Works is offering a limited number of trees at a discounted price of $40 each to residents. There is a two tree limit per household. Residents are responsible for planting the trees and must call Gopher State One Call prior to digging. Trees must be planted on private property in Hopkins, not within the boulevard or public right-of-way. Trees will be available for pick-up on Saturday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to noon, at the Hopkins Water Treatment Plant next to Elmo Park, 1498 7th Street N. Learn more and purchase a tree.

City Hiring Public Works Seasonal Workers

The City of Hopkins is seeking seasonal workers in the Public Works department. Seasonal workers perform various types of manual labor and operate light equipment in the maintenance of City streets, parks and utilities. Learn more about the position and apply online.

Save the Date: Garden Plot Registration Begins April 5

Registration for community garden plots begins at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, April 5, for
Hopkins residents. Registration is on a first come, first served basis (limit two plots per
household). Residents must provide proof of residency and register in-person at Hopkins
City Hall, 1010 First Street S. Non-residents may register beginning Tuesday, April 12.
