Blood Drive is February 25

February is American Heart Month. Help save lives by donating blood at a Memorial Blood Centers blood drive on Friday, February 25, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Hopkins Fire Department. Sign-up on the Memorial Blood Centers website using sponsor code 0998 or contact Dale Specken at 952-548-6451.


West Metro Home Remodeling Fair is February 27

Looking for ideas or tips for your next home remodeling project? Stop by the West Metro Home Remodeling Fair between 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 27, at the Eisenhower Community Center. The fair features a wide variety of exhibitors with products and services related to home improvement, including remodeling contractors, architects, landscapers, financial lenders and more. Recycling Webinar is February 28

The City of Hopkins is holding a a Municipal Solid Waste Recycling webinar geared towards multifamily housing on Monday, February 28, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The webinar will cover recycling basics including what materials are accepted and not accepted, where to find resources about properly managing waste, waste reduction, where recyclables go, and how to store recycling in tight spaces. All are welcome to attend to learn more about tips on improving recycling habits. Join the meeting February 28 via Zoom. Residents are also encourage to take a Solid Waste Recycling Survey to help the City improve recycling education in Hopkins. 


City Seeking Feedback Through Elections Survey

Every 10 years following the census, every city, county and state is required to redraw political district boundaries to ensure that each district has a roughly equal population. As part of this process, known as redistricting, the City of Hopkins is seeking feedback from the community through a brief survey. Survey input will help the City determine precinct boundaries and locations for polling places. The deadline to complete the survey is Friday, February 18. 


Take the 2022 Walk Hopkins Challenge

Did you know that if you walked the length of every public street in Hopkins you would have walked 53 miles? The City of Hopkins invites you to get to know the streets of your city by participating in the 2022 Walk Hopkins Challenge. Here's how it works:

  1. Print the maps or pick up a copy at City Hall.
  2. Plan your routes, walk and track your progress all year long.
  3. Use the #WalkHopkins hashtag along the way when posting to social media.
  4. When finished, turn in your maps with your contact information via email to alenz@hopkinsmn.com or in-person at City Hall by December 31, 2022 at 12 p.m.
  5. Finishers will see their names on the City’s website and be entered in a drawing to win Depot Gift Cards.
