325 Blake Road Neighborhood Meeting is November 15

The City of Hopkins and the Minnehaha Creek Watershed District (MCWD) selected Alatus as the development partner to lead a transformative redevelopment of about 13 acres of the site at 325 Blake Road (former Cold Storage facility). MCWD will retain approximately four acres of the site for restoration, including stormwater treatment and expansion of the Minnehaha Creek Greenway.

Alatus has submitted plans to the City of Hopkins for their development project which will include 761 units of varying types of housing, retail and commercial space, and public gathering areas.  Alatus is hosting a neighborhood meeting to discuss the project on November 15 at 6:30 pm at 43 Hoops Basketball Academy (1002 2nd Street NE). The project plans are scheduled to be considered by the Planning and Zoning Commission on November 23 and the City Council on December 7.

MCWD will also be present at the neighborhood meeting to talk about its stormwater and Minnehaha Creek Greenway expansion and restoration project on the site. Based on community ideas generated at this spring and summer’s listening sessions and open houses, MCWD has produced designs ready for public feedback.

You can review Alatus’ project plans, ask questions and provide feedback to the developer here. Visit the City’s website for more information about the site and the City’s review process and sign-up here for MCWD project updates and online input opportunities.
