Free Leaf and Yard Waste Pick-Up Begins October 25

Free fall leaf and yard waste bag pick-up will be on your regular garbage day October 26 through November 19. If you live in the Bellgrove, Hobby Acres, Park Ridge and Interlachen Park  neighborhoods, leaf and yard waste will be picked-up using front-end loaders and dump trucks November 2 through 5. Find the schedule for your neighborhood's pick-up day on the City website. You do not need to schedule this pick-up. Information about pick-up guidelines is available here.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Networking Event and Fundraiser for Black Men Teach is October 25

The Hopkins Race and Equity Initiative and Hopkins Community Education, together with partners Black Men Teach, National Black MBA Association, Cargill, MN Black Box, the City of Hopkins and ICA, are hosting a networking event for professionals working in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion on Monday, October 25, from 5 to 7 p.m., at LTD Brewing. Twenty percent of all food and beverage sales at the event will go to directly support Black Men Teach - Twin Cities. RSVP for the event here.

Zoning Engagement Meeting is October 28

The City of Hopkins invites you to attend a Zoning Engagement Meeting next Thursday, October 28, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Hopkins Pavilion. Learn about the Zoning Regulations Update Project, ask questions, and provide your input and feedback on the draft plans. Save the Date: Salute to Vets Program is November 11

The Hopkins Activity Center is hosting their annual Salute to Vets program and lunch on Thursday, November 11, beginning at 10:45 a.m. The program will honor veterans for their committed service. Reservations are required to attend by calling 952-929-1333. The cost is free for veterans, $9 for members and $10 for non-members.
