Sunday Open Skates at the Pavilion Return October 3
+ See the Stanley Cup!

Sunday Open Skates are back at the Pavilion beginning Sunday, October 3. Bring your whole family and skate from 1 to 2:30 pm. No sticks or pucks allowed. All Open Skates are $4 for adults, $3 for seniors and students, and free for kids under 5. Hopkins High School Alumni John Rosso will also be at the Pavilion with the Stanley Cup on October 3 from 1 to 3:30 p.m., so stop by to skate and take your photo with the cup! National Coffee with a Cop Day is October 6

Join officers from the Hopkins Police Department for coffee and conversation on Wednesday, October 6, from 9 to 11 a.m., at Munkabeans, 1206 Mainstreet. As part of National Coffee with a Cop day, the department invites you to ask questions, voice concerns, show your support and get to know the police officers in your city.


HREI Community Conversation is October 14

The Hopkins Race and Equity Initiative is hosting a community conversation on Race
and Housing, part one in a series on Race, Power and Politics, on Thursday, October
14, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., at the Hopkins Center for the Arts. The discussion will cover topics including the power of the renter; building a racially inclusive community; working toward housing stability; and the impacts of housing disparities on our community. More information is available here.


The Freight Market is October 16

Join the Depot Youth Advisory Board for The Freight Market, an outdoor art fair for both youth and adult artists, on Saturday, October 16, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Depot Coffee House. Learn more about the event here.


Applications Open for Hennepin Homeownership Preservation Program 

Hopkins homeowners who are past due on their mortgage or other housing expenses can now apply for support. Hennepin County and the City of Minneapolis have partnered with Minnesota Homeownership Center to create and administer the Hennepin Homeownership Preservation Program (HHPP). HHPP is promoting foreclosure prevention advising to homeowners in Hennepin County, and limited financial assistance may be available under certain circumstances.
