This year, the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) has been found in several Hopkins neighborhoods and surrounding communities. If you are concerned about saving an ash tree on your property, now is the time to act by contacting a tree service/arborist to see if the tree is a candidate for an EAB treatment. The City’s Forestry Division will also be doing inspections of trees in Hopkins for diseases (Dutch Elm, Oak Wilt and EAB) through September. If any tree on your property shows signs of disease, it will be marked with an orange ribbon and information will be left at your door. Call 952-548-6372 with questions.
