Join the Hopkins Race and Equity Initiative for a community conversation featuring a panel discussion on race and housing. The discussion will cover topics including the POWER of the renter; building a racially inclusive community; working toward housing stability; and the impacts of housing disparities on our community.

The Hopkins Race and Equity Initiative (HREI) and Hopkins Community Education invite you to attend a networking event for professionals working in the field of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) on Monday, October 25 from 5-7pm. Come celebrate, educate, strategize, raise awareness, and inspire others to create a diverse, equitable, and inclusive business community. A percentage of all food and beverage sales at the event will go to support Black Men Teach, Twin Cities. This event is presented by the National Black MBA Association, Black Men Teach, Cargill, MN Black Box, and ICA Food Shelf, the City of Hopkins, HREI, and Hopkins Community Ed. Please RSVP to help estimate attendance.

The Hopkins Race and Equity Initiative (HREI) is a collaborative effort creating opportunities to increase awareness and understanding of race, equity and diversity and promoting a sense of community that welcomes and values all residents. Members include:

  • The Hopkins Public Schools
  • The Police Department
