Garden Plot Kick-Off Event is May 22

Start gardening season off on the right foot! The City of Hopkins invites you to come meet your neighbors this Saturday, May 22, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., for a Garden Plot Kick-Off event at the Hopkins Community Garden at Valley Park.

The event is open to everyone, no registration required! Please wear masks and practice social distancing at the event. Burnes Park Splash Pad Opens May 28

Summer is nearly here! The splash pad at Burnes Park is scheduled to open for the season next Friday, May 28, just in time for Memorial Day Weekend! No COVID-19 related capacity restrictions will be enforced. Find more information, including splash pad hours and rules, on our website here.

Sunset Series Outdoor Concerts Begin June 10

The Hopkins Center for the Arts, along with Mill City Sound, are excited to present the
2021 Sunset Series, which is set to begin Thursday, June 10, with Annie Mack. Enjoy the free music series on Thursday evenings beginning at 7 p.m. in Downtown Park, 40 9th Avenue S, Hopkins. Bring a chair and your friends, and enjoy music ranging from local favorites to emerging new talent that will showcase all genres. Registration Open for Police Department’s
Summer Youth Program

The Hopkins Police Department is looking for students to participate in the 2021 Summer Youth Program. The Summer Youth Program provides hands-on learning about law enforcement with local police, and touches on topics including life skills, community outreach, and sports and games. This FREE nine-week program begins June 24 and runs nine consecutive Thursdays through August 19. Learn more and register online here.
