Virtual Open House for Zoning Update is February 10

Don't forget! The public is invited to comment on the zoning regulations update process through an online virtual open house. This event is scheduled for Wednesday, February 10, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. During the virtual open house, City staff and the consultant team will present the initial framework of the zoning update, take comments, and answer questions. You can participate in this event through Zoom, the City’s website, live on Cable Channel 16 or Facebook Live Stream. HREI Virtual Town Hall Forum on Community Policing is February 18

The Hopkins Race and Equity Initiative is hosting a virtual conversation on policing in our local communities on Thursday, February 18 at 6:30 p.m. Panelists for this event include
City of Hopkins Police Chief Brent Johnson, City of St. Louis Park Police Chief Mike
Harcey, and City of Minnetonka Police Chief Scott Boerboom.The forum will be moderated by Diversity and Inclusion Consultant Bill Wells, with a question and answer segment to follow the discussion. New Hilltop Park Activity Guide Now Available

Did you know Hopkins is home to over a dozen parks? The City of Hopkins encourages residents to climb, swim, skate, sled, and swing their way through them all! The Hopkins Park Board wants to help families and community members explore and enjoy Hopkins beautiful parks. Take Part in the 2021 Walk Hopkins Challenge

Did you know if you walked the length of every public street in Hopkins you would have walked 53 miles? The City of Hopkins is introducing the Walk Hopkins Challenge, in which challenges community members to walk the streets of Hopkins while tracking your progress along the way. Here's how it works:

1. Print the Maps or pick up a copy at City Hall.

2. Plan your routes, walk and track your progress all year long.

3. Use the #WalkHopkins hashtag along the way when posting to social media.

4. When finished, turn in your completed sheets and your information at City Hall by December 31, 2021 at 12 p.m.

5. Finishers will see their names on the City’s website and be entered in a drawing to win Depot Gift Cards.
