Opening of Outdoor Ice Rinks Postponed

Due to warmer weather, the opening of outdoor ice skating rinks is postponed. Rinks may be open by December 25, weather permitting. Once open, the rinks will be maintained and open during regular hours of operation, however, all Hopkins and Minnetonka warming houses will remain closed during the 2020-2021 season. Park ambassadors will frequent rinks throughout the season to monitor ice conditions and usage. Additional outdoor benches and picnic tables have been added for public use. City Seeking Lead Barista for Depot Coffee House

The City of Hopkins is seeking a Lead Barista for the Depot Coffee House. Responsibilities include training baristas, managing cash and deposits, maintaining inventory and all tasks of a Depot Barista including: creating a positive experience for customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable store environment. Burglar and Fire Alarm Registration and Renewals

Individuals and businesses are required to register their burglar and fire alarm systems. This annual registration allows the police and fire departments to keep more up-to-date records on alarm holders and important keyholder information. The fee is $20 for fire alarm systems and $20 for police alarm systems (panic, burglary, duress, medical, holdup). New to Hopkins? Need to renew your alarm system registration? Fill out the online Alarm User Permit form or call City Hall at 952-548-6300 for a paper copy of the application. Due to the pandemic, online registration is preferred.
