Halloween in Hopkins is October 31

Join the Hopkins Business and Civic Association for the fourth annual Halloween in Hopkins this Saturday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. While trick-or-treating will not be offered this year, JCI Hopkins will weave a web of outdoor photo booths along Mainstreet from 7th to 11th Avenues and along the Artery to dig up some Halloween spirits. Tag your pictures from the day with #HalloweeninHopkins to enter the online costume contest! Winners will be announced Halloween night. Learn more about this year's Halloween in Hopkins event here.

Election Day is November 3

The general election will be held Tuesday, November 3. Polls will be open from 7 a.m.
to 8 p.m. Hopkins City Hall will also be open extended hours for absentee voting and ballot drop-off on Saturday, October 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Monday, November 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

To be counted, absentee ballots must be returned to the election office that sent your ballot by 3 p.m. on Election Day. You can drop-off ballots for up to three other voters. You will need to show identification with your name and signature when returning a ballot for someone else. Absentee ballots CANNOT be dropped-off at voting precincts on Election Day.

Whether you plan to vote early or on Election Day, be prepared for a lengthier process, longer lines and inclement weather. Due to social distancing requirements, you may be standing in line outdoors. Visit mnvotes.org to find your polling place or view your sample ballot. More information about voting and elections is available on the City of Hopkins website here.
