Hopkins City Facilities Closed Until Further Notice

All City facilities are closed to the public until further notice. This includes Hopkins City Hall, Hopkins Public Works, the Hopkins Pavilion, the Hopkins Center for the Arts, the Hopkins Activity Center and the Depot Coffee House. All essential services, including police and fire, will continue to operate as normal.

Find staff contact information at www.hopkinsmn.com/Directory.aspx. Anyone in need of immediate (non-emergency) assistance should call the City's main line at 952-935-8474.

City officials will communicate any significant status updates here.

Hydrant Flushing Begins April 6

Don't be alarmed if your water is discolored: Hopkins Public Works utility crews will be flushing fire hydrants throughout the community April 6-24. Residents are cautioned against doing laundry - particularly lighter colored items - while crews are in the neighborhood.

Hydrant Flushing Schedule:

  • April 6-10: Hydrants north of Excelsior Boulevard and west of Highway 169
  • April 13-17: Hydrants south of Excelsior Boulevard and west of Highway 169
  • April 20-24: Hydrants east of Highway 169

If water is still discolored once crews leave, residents should run the cold water until it runs clear. More information is available here.
