Deadline to Enter West Metro Home Remodeling Fair's Operation Rescue Room is February 3

Do you have a room in your home in desperate need of a remodel?  The West Metro Home Remodeling Fair Operation Rescue Room contest will give $1,000 to the homeowner whose room gets the most votes on the day of the fair. To enter, submit a photo and a 100-word description of your intended renovation project on the fair's website. The free West Metro Home Remodeling Fair will be held on Sunday, February 9, from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Eisenhower Community Center, 1001 Highway 7. More information about Operation Rescue Room and the remodeling fair is available here.

Kids Fest is February 9

Join friends and family for the annual Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Services Kids’ Fest Sunday, February 9, from 11 to 2:30 p.m., at the Minnetonka Community Center, 14600 Minnetonka Boulevard. Enjoy dog sled rides, caricatures, face painting, horse-drawn trolley rides and much more! Seasoned Driver Training Class is February 18 and 19

Improve your driving skills through an eight-hour introductory Defensive Driving course held on February 18 and 19 from 6 to 10 p.m., at the Hopkins Activity Center. Led by trained Minnesota Safety Council instructors, the course includes lecture, films and discussion. If you're 55 or older, you can also get a discount on your personal auto insurance.
