Public Police Records

The Hopkins Police Department posts weekly public information reports in accordance with the Minnesota Government Data Practices Act. Reports are posted on this website by noon each Thursday. 

Requesting Police Department Records

Requests for specific reports must be made to the police records staff. Please fill out the Data Request Form Online or download the Data Request Form (PDF) and submit it to us via either of the following options:

Private Data Request

If requesting a report containing private data, please also submit a copy of your identification.

Getting Fingerprinted

The Hopkins Police Department is currently unable to process any civilian fingerprints. Please contact the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for assistance. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Report Copies No Charge - If requester is the subject of the report or representative of the subject.

$0.25 - If requester is not the subject of the report.
Special Report $25.00 minimum per report

For more than 100 pages and 15 minutes or longer of staff time, actual costs will be billed.
Summary Data Report $5.00 per report
