At its June 5, 2012 meeting, the Hopkins City Council ordered the completion of a feasibility report for ­street and utility improvements for the entire South Presidential neighborhood. This neighborhood includes Monroe, Jackson, Van Buren and Harrison Avenues South and 1st and 2nd Streets South. The project also includes the Blake Water Tower access drive and repairs to the trail from Blake Road to Washington Avenue South.

  • Total Project Cost - $4.8 Million
  • Reconstruction of streets within the project area
  • Total Utility Replacement (include services to right-of-way)
  • Projected Assessments - $4,800 - $13,000 per Home
    • Average is approximately $5,800
    • Includes $1,925 for water and sewer service
    • Reflects "cap" of $76.68 per front foot (non cap avg=$184.24)
    • Assessed over 15 years
