For your safety, the Streets and Traffic Department tries to ensure that all of the traffic signals are in operable condition. If you notice an inoperable traffic signal, please report it to the Public Works Department at 952-939-1382.

If you notice a street light problem, you should report it to the Public Works Department 952-939-1382 or on the Razzle Communication Line 952-939-1421. If the street light is city-owned, the City will repair it as soon as possible. If the street light is owned by XCEL Energy, Public Works will contact XCEL Energy and encourage expedient repairs.
How do I report a street maintenance problem?

Stop sign installation must first be approved by the City Council. Contact the Engineering Department at 952-935-8474, to have an area reviewed or to find out if an area has been previously reviewed.
How do I find out about any new road construction in my neighborhood?
To see current and future construction projects you may look at the Construction site. The site is updated frequently. Construction information is also available at informational public meetings, which are held prior to street reconstruction. Residents of the affected area are notified about the meetings. Residents from all of Hopkins are encouraged to attend these public information meetings. Meetings are posted on the Hopkins Community Cable Channel 16.
