Press Release: Hopkins Fire Department Responds to Fire at 1330 Landmark Trail N.

Hopkins, MN. – The Hopkins Police and Fire Departments responded to a call Saturday, Nov. 26, at 1330 Landmark Trail N. in Hopkins. Crews arrived to find fire coming through the roof of the townhome.

The Hopkins Fire Department activated three alarms and received support from the Minnetonka, Edina, St. Louis Park, Eden Prairie and Golden Valley fire departments, as well as from the Hennepin County Ambulance Service. The initial call took approximately four hours for fire extinguishment, overhaul and salvage.

The cause of the fire was accidental. The residents from the townhome were burning 2x4 wood in the fireplace, which caused a fire within the walls.

There were no injuries. Other units in the townhome complex experienced light smoke, but all residents were able to return to their homes.

Fire and smoke damages are estimated to be around $80,000.
