The City of Hopkins is excited to announce the forming of a sister city relationship with Boryspol, Ukraine.
On September 27, a delegation from Boryspol will be in Hopkins for the day to meet with various civic organizations and business leaders.
A Sister City Celebration will be held at the Hopkins Center for the Arts from 7–8:30 pm on September 27. The public is invited to attend this special evening, which will include a sister cities announcement and ceremony, a short performance by Stages Theatre Company, and music by the JT Bates Quartet and Crooked Grass.
Tickets are $5 and available at Hopkins City Hall, Driskill’s, and Midnite Market.
Hopkins’ mayor Gene Maxwell was one of nine Twin Cities representatives who visited Boryspol in May as part of a civic-cultural exchange program. Boryspol lies just outside Kiev and is home to Kiev International Airport.
