Hopkins Center for the Arts—
Director of Development and Engagement

The Hopkins Center for the Arts has an opening for a Director of Development & Engagement. Reporting to and in partnership with the Executive Director, the Director creates and executes an annual fundraising plan with the goal of increasing contributed support of the Center. Deadline: February 19.

Additional Information

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Arts Administration or a related field or the equivalent (four years) combination of education and experience; and
  • three years progressively responsible experience in fundraising and community engagement activities.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • Advanced degree in arts administration or related field; and
  • two years’ experience at the management level in an arts organization.

Salary range: $48.7 - $65,800, excellent fringe benefits.

Activity Center Custodial/Event Supervisor

This is a part time position, approximately ten hours per week.  Performs building custodial duties each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings as well as occasional weekends as assigned.

Additional Information

Attendant is responsible for opening and closing of the Activity Center, greeting and assisting guests, building supervision, and event set-up and take-down as well as minor custodial duties (sweeping and mopping). See full job description.

Job requirements: HS graduate or equivalent and ability to lift and maneuver items that weigh up to 60 lbs., such as banquet tables, stack chairs, and custodial equipment.

Wage:  $11/hour to start.

Warminghouse Attendants

The Hopkins-Minnetonka Recreation Department has openings for Warminghouse Attendants. Attendants are responsible to make sure that the buildings are opened and closed in a timely manner and to ensure an enjoyable atmosphere for citizens to skate and/or play hockey. Ice Arena Attendant/Ice Resurfacer Driver

The Hopkins Pavilion is accepting applications for part-time Ice Arena Attendants. 8-12 hours/week, flexible, evenings & weekends, will train. Open until filled.

Additional Information

The pavilion attendant position is responsible for the orderly operation of the Pavilion in the absence of full-time personnel; including opening and closing of the Pavilion, building supervision, equipment monitoring, building maintenance and special event set-up. Learn to Drive the “Zamboni.”

Minimum Qualifications: Must be 18 or older and have a valid driver's license.

Hours: 8–12 hours per week, mainly weekends with the potential of some evening shifts

Wage: $10 to $12/hour depending on qualifications

Part-Time Arts Center Custodian

The Hopkins Center for the Arts is accepting applications for a part time Arts Center Custodian. Responsibilities include overseeing the orderly operation of Arts Center, opening and closing the building, working with customers and visitors, setting rooms for events and custodial duties. $10-11/hr DOQ. Open until filled.

Additional Information

The Hopkins Center for the Arts is open Monday–Saturday from 8am–8pm, and Sundays from noon–5pm. Often the building is open for extended hours due to special events.

We are looking for someone to primarily work weekends and evenings and to be on call for additional shifts.

This is a very hands-on position, requiring the ability and willingness to move tables and chairs, clean restrooms, empty trash, vacuum, and various other duties relating to building and event needs. The position represents Hopkins Center for the Arts to the public so a professional, customer service oriented manner is required.

Hours: 6 -- 20 hours per week depending on event needs.
