Under general direction of the City Clerk, performs a variety of routine and complex administrative work and special project work providing administrative support to the City Manager, Assistant City Manager, City Clerk, and City Council, and serves as the part-time City Hall receptionist.
Position will be cross trained in all administrative areas of City Hall, a primary function is to assist other departments and divisions in a backup and project based capacity including building inspections, finance, engineering and community development.
Responsible for City communications including assisting other departments with their public relations activities. Communications includes maintaining and developing the City’s websites, social media, marketing, newsletters and written communications. Position assists with Think Hopkins Marketing Campaign. Also involves working with community organizations and City staff on special projects and events.
This is a part time position, approximately ten hours per week. Performs building custodial duties each Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings as well as occasional weekends as assigned.

Job requirements: HS graduate or equivalent and ability to lift and maneuver items that weigh up to 60 lbs., such as banquet tables, stack chairs, and custodial equipment.
Wage: $11/hour to start.
The Hopkins Center for the Arts is accepting applications for a part time Arts Center Building Supervisor. Responsibilities include overseeing the orderly operation of Arts Center, opening and closing the building, working with customers and visitors, setting rooms for events and custodial duties. $10-11/hr DOQ. The Hopkins Center for the Arts is open Monday–Saturday from 8am–8pm, and Sundays from noon–5pm. Often the building is open for extended hours due to special events.
We are looking for someone to primarily work weekends and evenings and to be on call for additional shifts.
This is a very hands-on position, requiring the ability and willingness to move tables and chairs, clean restrooms, empty trash, vacuum, and various other duties relating to building and event needs. The position represents Hopkins Center for the Arts to the public so a professional, customer service oriented manner is required.
Hours: 6–20 hours per week depending on event needs.
