A special meeting of the Hopkins Housing and Redevelopment Authority was held October 16, 2007, at Hopkins City Hall. Present were Chairman Eugene Maxwell, Commissioners Kristi Halverson, Rick Brausen, Bruce Rowan, and Cheryl Youakim. Also present were Executive Director Rick Getschow, Assistant Executive Director Kersten Elverum, and City Attorney Jerry Steiner.

- ITEM 2007-17 Transit-oriented Development Contract - Hennepin County
Ms. Elverum presented this item, explaining that the HRA had applied for and received a $400,000 TOD grant from Hennepin County. The grant funds will be used for demolition and site prep work on redevelopment projects from Fifth to Eighth Avenues.
Commissioner Rowan moved, Commissioner Youakim seconded, to approve the transit-oriented development contract with Hennepin County. The motion was approved unanimously.
- ITEM 2007-18 Restrictive Covenants and Authorizing Sale of the 20th Avenue Lots
Ms. Elverum explained the process that has led to the availability of three lots on 20th Avenue South that are being recommended for sale by the Hopkins HRA. The lots will be sold via public bid and must be used for single family home construction.
Commissioner Brausen moved, Commissioner Halverson seconded, to adopt Resolution 450, declaring Tracts A,B,C Registered Land Survey No. 731, real estate owned by the Hopkins HRA, as no longer necessary for any public housing purpose and ordering and authorizing the sale thereof via public bid. The motion was approved unanimously.
Commissioner Brausen moved, Commissioner Rowan seconded, to adjourn the meeting. The motion was approved unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:34 pm.
