In 2003, Ryland Homes broke ground for 38 carriage homes and 28 single family homes. The Regency Development is located on the old Alliant Tech parking lot, north of 2nd St NE.
The single family houses have lot sizes similar to the lots found in north Hopkins and have an historic architectural appearance. The townhomes are a row style with rear entry garages.
The development proves beneficial to the community for it did not use any public financial assistance and it clearly defines the separation of residential neighborhood from an industrial area. Sidewalks, trails, and landscaping help create a pedestrian friendly environment.
