Brush & Yard Waste Drop Off Site

Hopkins refuse customers can drop off their brush and yard waste at the free drop off site, open late spring through November.

Yard Waste Drop off site, located off 73

The drop off site is located at 3100 Hopkins Crossroads on the west side of Co Rd 73, about two blocks north of Minnetonka Blvd/Co Rd 5.

Hours

Opens for the season on Saturday, April 16, 2011

  • Mon and Wed, 2–7 pm
  • Sat, 9 am–3 pm

Cost

Free for Hopkins refuse customers in the City service area. You will need a valid driver's license, MN ID, or current paid utility bill to prove your Hopkins residency.

Residents will need to unload and debag their materials at the site, and take used bags home with them.

Accepted items

  • Tree limbs
  • Twigs and branches up to 6" in diameter and 15' long
  • Leaves with twig stems not longer than 4"
  • Grass clippings
  • Similar garden waste

Not accepted items

  • Vines
  • Sod Waste
  • Animal Feces
  • Garden Products
  • Logs or lumber
  • Dirt
  • Contract of commercial firms
