Brush & Yard Waste Drop-Off Site

Hopkins refuse customers can drop off their brush and yard waste at the free drop-off site.

The Yard Waste & Brush Drop-Off Site Opens April 12

The Yard Waste & Brush Drop-Off location at 3100 Hopkins Crossroad will open Saturday, April 12 (weather permitting).

  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 2–7 pm
  • Saturdays, 9 am–3 pm

Yard Waste Drop off site, located off 73

The drop off site is located at 3100 Hopkins Crossroads. The site is located approximately one block north of the Hopkins Crossroad & Minnetonka Blvd intersection..


Free for Hopkins refuse customers in the City service area. You will need a valid driver's license, MN ID, or current paid utility bill to prove your Hopkins residency.

Residents will need to unload and debag their materials at the site, and take used bags home with them.

Accepted items

  • Tree limbs
  • Twigs, branches, and woody vines up to 6" in diameter and 15' long
  • Leaves with twig stems not longer than 4"
  • Grass clippings
  • Similar garden waste
  • Soft, pliable vines (yard waste)

Not accepted items

  • Sod Waste
  • Animal Feces
  • Garden Products
  • Logs or lumber
  • Dirt
  • Contract of commercial firms.

*The drop-off site is closed on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Veterans Day.
