Truth in Taxation Sample Truth in Taxation statement

Each November, property owners receive Truth in Taxation notices showing how the proposed tax levy for the coming year will affect their property taxes. This notice includes the dates and times of all public meetings that will be held to discuss and approve the proposed tax levy. The Truth in Taxation hearing for the City of Hopkins' 2012 tax levy will be held in December 2011.
