Residential Driveway Replacement

A permit is required for construction or replacement of a driveway (City Code 810.01). Requiring a permit enables the City to protect the public by setting and enforcing construction standards, inspect work done within the right-of-way, and ensure proper pavement construction.

Applying for a permit

Download and complete Driveway/Parking Lot Permit Application and return to City Hall.

The permit fee for a driveway is $40.

  • Minimum driveway width is 10 feet.
  • Maximum driveway width is 24 feet.
  • Driveways must be no nearer than 2 feet to a side lot line.
