Earth Day Fair

The City of Hopkins Green Committee enthusiastically invites the public to celebrate Earth Day by learning more about green practices and sustainability at The Depot Coffee House.

This fun and FREE event features an impressive variety of giveaways, professional consultations, product displays and information. Come to buy your morning coffee and stay to hear live music as you explore some of the following highlights:

  • Two attendees will win garden plots in Valley Park
  • Bring a container for free compost
  • Take home a free Red Maple tree seedling (one per family)
  • Purchase rain barrels and compost bins at reduced rates

Getting To The Fair

Walk or bike on the trail to The Depot Coffee House (9451 Excelsior Blvd—at the intersection of Excelsior Blvd & Hwy 169). Additional parking is available in the gravel lot along the south side of the regional trail, east off of 5th Avenue South, and in the Cargill parking ramp across the street.

Same Day: Community Shredding Event

9 am—noon
@ Albert Pike Mason Lodge (907 Mainstreet)

Bring your old bank statements, tax documents, bills, legal documents and more for shredding. All documents will be shredded on-site while you watch, and you will receive a certificate of destruction. This event is open to business, families, and individuals. Protect your data and privacy and reduce your chance of identity theft.

Cost: $5/box (roughly 12" x 10" x 24"). All proceeds benefit the Albert Pike Mason Lodge, which in turn supports the Hopkins community, including the ICA Foodshelf and ResourceWest.
