What is the Artery Experiment?

The City of Hopkins hosted the Artery Experiment – a fun-filled, Open Streets event – to test out plans for the Artery, introduce the project to the community, and encourage them to shape this special place and its final design.

The Artery project will ultimately create a pedestrian seductive corridor that connects Mainstreet with the Downtown Hopkins LRT Station; but before it gets built, the City wanted to test it out and get public feedback.

The Artery Experiment featured temporary installations of the Artery, including a protected bikeway, art exhibits, live music and performances, food trucks, games, roving artists, free bike tune ups, crafts, water play, and much more. Download Artery Experiment Map & Guide
