A Chance to Make a Positive Impact on Your Environment: Attend an Earth Friendly Home Landscaping Seminar
Earth friendly home landscaping is an approach to landscaping in which plants thrive with minimal inputs of pesticides, fertilizers, water, and time. Earth friendly landscaping reduces lawn maintenance, adds fertility to the soil naturally, provides wildlife habitat, conserves water and reduces air pollution.
Hennepin County has partnered with local sustainable landscaping experts to offer this seminar series. Fourteen seminars will be offered from April through September on a variety of topics including Earth Friendly Landscape Design, Landscaping for Water Quality, Low Input Lawn Care, and Health Soils and Composting.
Classes will be held at Hennepin County's Eco-Yard Demonstration sites, located at the Recycling Center and Transfer Station at 8100 Jefferson Highway, in Brooklyn Park or the Eco-Yard Midtown, 2801 21st Ave S, in Minneapolis.
