A special meeting of the Hopkins Housing and Redevelopment Authority was held March 16, 2004, at Hopkins City Hall. Present were Chairman Eugene Maxwell, Commissioners Rick Brausen, Diane Johnson, Bruce Rowan, and Jay Thompson. Also present were Executive Director Steve Mielke, Assistant Executive Director Jim Kerrigan, Public Housing Manager Stacy Unowsky, and City Attorney Jerry Steiner.

  1. Call To Order
    Chairman Maxwell called the meeting to order at 7:15 pm.
  2. New Business
    1. ITEM 2004-04 Public housing operating budget for period ending March 31, 2005.
      Ms. Unowsky provided an overview of the item. She stated that the public housing project is in a good financial situation. Commissioner Rowan moved, Commissioner Brausen seconded, to adopt Resolution 416, approving the operating budget for the period ending 3/31/05. The motion was approved unanimously.
    2. ITEM 2004-05 Rent register write-off for public housing budget fiscal year ending March 31, 2004.
      Ms. Unowsky stated that there are a few debts that the HRA has determined will not be able to be collected. By writing them off, they will not reflect negatively on the HRA's collection of rents. Commissioner Johnson moved, Commissioner Brausen seconded, to adopt Resolution 417, authorizing HRA staff to write off bad debts as uncollectible. The motion was approved unanimously.
  3. Adjournment
    Commissioner Thompson moved, Commissioner Johnson seconded, to adjourn the meeting. The motion was approved unanimously. The meeting adjourned at 7:26 pm.
